The Michigan Traveling Circus is an organization of vendors who travel throughout Michigan to raise funds for scholarships, and to provide products and services to Michigan banks.

The Traveling Circus members meet at MBA Group Meetings, at MBA Conferences and at the annual George Harding Scholarship Golf Outing to network with their peers and to raise money to fund the George Harding Scholarship Fund. The scholarships are awarded to college juniors, seniors and first-year graduate students in a financial related curriculum. The George Harding Scholarship Fund was named after George Harding, the Circus’ first Secretary/Treasurer who held the position for 17 years. The first scholarship was awarded in 1984 and since that time, the fund has awarded more than $400,000 in scholarships to young adults pursuing a career in finance.

Members of the Traveling Circus would agree that they have met lifelong friends within the Circus at the same time they are raising money for an excellent scholarship program assisting students advancing their career! If you are interested in more information on becoming a Traveling Circus member, please reach out to Jill Verscheure, the Admissions Chair, at (517) 342-5681 or
